Job Description

Westcon-Comstor are recruiting a Vendor Marketing Director EMEA who will be responsible for managing the relationship with (key) vendor(s) like AVAYA, Checkpoint, F5, Palo Alto Networks and Polycom for example. The Vendor Marketing Director EMEA will create the annual marketing plans and manage execution together with the field marketers. You will execute and managed Westcon marketing activities in line with business objectives, supporting the wider marketing and sales teams in the EMEA. You will proactively engage with the go-to-market marketing activities and business touch points that marketing works internally with vendors and with customers when required. You will manage a team of marketers based in the UK and Europe

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As Director Vendor Marketing you will define and own the overall Vendor Marketing Strategy.

You will manage the Vendor Marketing team and assure alignment on way of working and planning to optimize the investments and maximize the result.

You and your team will work closely together with the Vendors, the Digital Marketing team and the Vendor Managers to make sure we have an overall Vendor Marketing plan in line with the focus areas defined in the vendor business plans.

Together with your team you will track progress of the execution of the Vendor Marketing plan and report to the Management team.

You will bring new, creative ideas allowing Westcon to show the real value of our Vendor Marketing to internal and external stakeholders.

Marketing

  • Work with vendor marketing team, vendor and sales to develop and own compelling programmes and initiatives
  • Maintain competitive awareness of other vendor products and other distribution activity
  • Work with Vendor Management to
    • Understand focus areas of our vendors
  • Present the overall vendor marketing plan and objectives to sales force

Sales Support

  • Establish strong, productive relationships with sales leaders to fully understand local and central (marketing) needs

Administrative/Self Development

  • Present senior management with relevant reports and analysis
  • Provide monthly reports


ABOUT YOU


The role could be based in the UK or the Netherlands. You speak and write fluent English and you preferably have experience in an international work environment.

Marketing:
* Thorough understanding of marketing fundamentals in a B2B environment and strategic planning and execution.
* Strong experience in IT channel marketing and channel dynamics

Technology:
* Good understanding of technologies and market place and what tools are available to assist in execution of role.

Sales:
* Strong commercial insight and parameters of financial success

Finance & Compliance:
* Understand financial process; ROI, profit & loss, margins
* Understand KPI and maintain effectiveness of marketing plans

People Management
* Develop marketing team talent by advising, guiding, and mentoring individuals
* Ensure relevant marketing team training
* Discuss and agree quarterly objectives
