Job Description

Westcon-comstor are recruiting a new EMEA Vendor Manager to lead our Velocity project in Europe. You will work with great Vendors like Plantronics, AVAYA and Palo Alto Networks. You will plan, manage and report on vendor portfolios to maximise Westcon's value add and ensure success in terms of Westcon Group Services revenue and profitability. The aim of the role is to own the relationship into a portfolio of named Vendor accounts on behalf of Westcon.

You will work in collaboration with EMEA Training Director, EMEA Support Director and Marketing Department to develop and execute compelling solution propositions for Westcon Group Services.

This role is based in the South East of England. UK and European travel should be expected.


As owner of the solution/vendor relationship, the EMEA Product Manager / Vendor Manager will create an EMEA business and marketing plan in close collaboration with the Velocity vendors like AVAYA and Polycom. This European plan will be the foundation to create local GTM plans.

The EMEA Product Manager will own the plan and it's execution to ensure financial results are in line with the company objectives.

Sales Support
 Establish strong, productive vendor relations
 Support the efficient promotion of differentiating Westcon value propositions through sales engagement and training.
 In coordination with sales staff, proactively work to position the various vendor product lines and ensure comprehension of portfolio
 Build visibility with vendors and country sales teams to create a competitive distribution advantage for Westcon.

 Work with full Velocity marketing team, Velocity vendor and local Velocity BDM's to develop and own compelling programmes and initiatives
 Maintain competitive awareness of other vendor products and other distribution activity
 Produce regular marketing bulletins to communicate all product, service, pricing and promotional activity

Sales Support
 Support sales team with product positioning
 Work with sales team to understand product trends

Administrative/Self Development
 Contribute to monthly sales meetings
 Present senior management with relevant reports and analysis
 Provide monthly reports


 Technology:
o Good knowledge of the security and UCC market and solutions
o Use advanced technology concepts to link Westcon's offering to solutions in the customer's business
o Excellent Computer literacy

 Finance:
o Understanding of and ability to apply pricing, Gross Profit, discounts, and margin calculations

 Sales:
o Good understanding of the sales cycle

 Customer Service:
