Job Description

Purpose of Position:

To coordinate & provide new hire and existing employee development training and retention


* Assess new employee and employee development training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with Managers, and Product Managers.
* Attend necessary meetings and seminars to obtain information for use in training programs or to inform Senior Management of training program requirements.
* Develop alternative training methods if necessary or expected improvements are not seen within groups.
* Evaluate training materials prepared by Product Managers, such as process documents, outlines, text, or handouts.
* Keep current with developments in area of expertise that are necessary.
* Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities or program effectiveness.
* Offer specific training programs to help employees maintain or improve job skills.
* Organize and develop, maintain, or obtain training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials.
* Confidently present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.
* Coordinate, design, plan, organize and/or direct orientation and training for employees.
* Assist in coordination of training of Order Management staff with COM Leadership.
* Supervise and evaluate employee performance, and refer employees through Management to further training for skill development as necessary.
* Devise programs to develop a competency rating for trained and tenured employees.
* Schedule trainings based on availability of conference, equipment, or instructors (Product Managers as SMEs). This will include Management of the entire training calendar and process for the organization.
* Select and assign SME's to conduct additional training.
* Coordinate assessment of training program participants.
* Answer day to day questions as they come from existing staff on procedural protocols
* Other duties as assigned


* Excellent public speaking skills to convey information effectively and efficiently.
* Learning strategies that allow for selection and utilization of training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things
* Active listening skills in order address concerns or questions entirely
* Internal process and systems knowledge
* Exceptional written communication and time management skills
* Pertinent program knowledge such as Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP Etc
