Job Description

This role requires the individual to cover a range of general technology as well as specific domain expertise in a range of cloud technology.

The role will be directly involved in the enablement of partners as well as the technical lead in cloud transactions.

Job Summary

  • Act as Cloud technical sales resource within Westcon, and liaise with cloud aligned vendors and partners as needed to fulfil job requirements and maintain vendor and partner satisfaction levels.
  • Equip, enable and generate awareness of how to position a cross section of technology and service solutions within the Westcon portfolio, creating mindshare internally and in the channel for Westcon Comstor.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support on technologies and service solutions to channel partners and internal resources - pricing, solutions validation, deal assistance
  • To travel interstate and internationally, as required
  • To ensure customer satisfaction through the timely provision of accurate design and quotation documentation and resolution of customer concerns
  • To support and enable Westcon cloud and sales teams in the development of business activity.
  • To promote Westcon - Cloud Sales technical and service capabilities to vendor staff, as appropriate.
  • Engage and develop relationships with vendor Sales and Pre-Sales staff and work on opportunities in conjunction with them.

Experience & Knowledge

  • 3 years within the ITC Channel in a Reseller, Vendor or Distribution role.
  • Proven experience in a presales or a solutions architect in a customer-facing role
  • Experience in cloud, security, application and networking technologies would be highly regarded.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the pre-sales function.
  • AWS or Azure Solutions Architect Certifications.
  • Intermediate Power Point Skills.
  • Effective communication skills both orally and written
  • Good attention to detail and follow-up
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Time Management skills.
  • Team player but with the ability to work independently
