Westcon-Comstor have announced an expansion of their existing relationship with IBM, as a result we are looking for a Technical Business Development Manager who has enterprise software selling experience. We are in growth mode, join us to be part of the success!

Our Technical Business Development Team provides sales support to our customers, complimenting sales teams and solution architects by communicating value, architecting solutions, scoping work, and closing deals. If you are passionate about Software with strong business development capability, wanting to be associated with a globally recognised, leading vendor, this is the opportunity for you.

Negotiate your way to success in this dynamic, Business Development role focussed around driving net new business. The primary responsibilities of the role include:
*Driving the identification and closure of opportunities, achieving targets and KPI's aligned to growth and new business within a defined segment of partners
*Development and execution of vendor account plan providing technical expertise and guidance to our partner channel
*Developing strong relationships within the partner community and internal support resources
*Collaborating with Vendor resources acting as an extension of their team
*Work with IBM and our resellers to create pipeline and enable the channel around the value of the Software portfolio
*Hunting and closing new partners and opportunities by developing and maintaining key relationships in organisations

The key attributes we are looking for include:
*Good understanding of consumption/software licensing models
*A technical orientation - interested in software functionality/features and solution fit - able to be complemented with an understanding of business problems and requirements
*Familiar with/interested in APIs, software development practices and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Node.JS
*An interest in emerging artificial intelligence and machine learning/business analytics technologies and solutions
*Significant sales and business development experience gained in the technology sector
*Your strong sales hunter personality will fit right in!
