Job Description

The Sales Lead Professional Services for Europe will primary focus on developing long-term sustainable, predictable revenues and margin contribution for Westcon-Comstor, build net new incremental Service revenues for Westcon Comstor and support the growth of high-quality, high-value Services options for the IT channel.

The Sales Lead Professional Services for Europe will build and develop multi-directional relationships between Westcon-Comstor and its channel partners in that region. You will be accountable for achieving the gross margin target for the designated area.
You will define and execute the local Services Sales strategy in line with the LOB Leadership and the Vendor strategies (including their architecture priorities in a given quarter). You will work in conjunction with the Area Services Delivery Leaders to define short, medium and long term goals and the required skills/resources to meet those goals across the Service Groups that make up the Services portfolio.

The Sales Lead Professional Services for Europe will manage a Sales team based around that region so ability to travel is important. Experience of successfully manage and develop a remote sales team is essential, preferably within the IT Channel. This is an external role but your office will be based in Bracknell where our Services team is based.


* Build and execute a Services Sales business plan. Build and maintain key relationships with LoB Executive Leadership and Vendor-aligned Management teams.
* Hit the quarterly Services target numbers for revenue and profitability, or be able to explain any discrepancies.
* Build & maintain new partnerships with key customers.
* Maintain accurate forecasting
* Manage and develop a 20+ external sales team based in Europe.
* Responsible for monitoring the performance of the business development managers by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings; etc.
* Business analytics on market and competitor activities

* Credibility both internally and externally - with colleagues, partners and customers
* Energy, drive and ambition to achieve business targets
* Excellent communication skills including management exec level presentation
* Mature, credible, highly professional, and comfortable in dealing with individuals at senior levels


* At least several years relevant working experience with demonstrated expertise in sales management / team management.
* Channel; Distribution, Systems Integrator or Vendor background would be preferable
* Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management
* Proven leadership and ability to drive teams and sales.
* Graduate degree in business, computer science or engineering is preferable
* Possess strong business development in solutions and / or services sales skills.
* Extremely strong written, verbal and communication skills (including proposal writing and presentation building)
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to team with Sales, Technical, and Operations resources
* Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to do quality work under tight deadlines
* Able to manage a frequent travel schedule. (30% of your time)
