Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Inventory Planner to join our thriving Albany based team.

Working within our bustling, agile, sales environment the role of Inventory Planner is to continually improve the optimisation of inventory in the end to end supply chain to exceed our customers expectation whilst reducing costs.

The ideal candidate will manage the replenishment planning for all stock keeping units (SKUs), ensuring high levels of product availability utilising historical sales and forecast demands whilst optimising the stock turns. Also highlighting to the business opportunities to take action, reduce cost and improve customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:
*Plan product inventory levels based on past sales history, future forecasts and through sales/product management consensus planning
*Own stock rotation process and ensure maximisation of stock rotations to reduce aged and slow moving products
*Maintain in-depth knowledge of product lines, market conditions, vendor promotions and other areas that affect proper management of inventories
*Manage product lifecycles and End of Life product process to reduce obsolete inventories
*Minimise freight/warehousing costs through proper management of ordering quantities
*Work with vendor to ensure they maintain high level of performance in product quality, delivery to lead-times, order accuracy and other areas
*Run inventory analytical reporting to ensure proper management of inventory age, availability and inventory health
*Work with Master Data team to ensure vendor pricelists and setups are maintained correctly

The ideal candidate must have the following experience and attributes:
*Experience in a similar role within distribution
*Hands on experience using SAP MRP or APO Modules
*Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
