Job Summary

Reporting to the Vendor Alliance Director within the Comstor division, the Inside Sales Team Lead is responsible for managing all aspects of the Inside Sales division. The effective management of the Inside Sales team is pivotal to Comstor achieving set targets. The Lead must be able to create and maintain the strategic direction of an expanded division, manage personnel to achieve a high quality service, formulate an internal / external communication strategy and provide accurate measurements of success.

The Inside Sales Team Lead is responsible for:

  • Overall team leadership of the Comstor Inside Sales division
  • Overall ownership of the strategy for Comstor Inside Sales nationally
  • Responsibility for attainment of targets for Comstor Inside Sales division

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build a solid Inside sales team that exceed sales goals
  • Ensure sales pipeline is accurate and remains full of qualified opportunities and leads
  • Monitor team performance and manage team to meet activity goals
  • Evaluate and improve sales administration processes
  • Develop business requirements to leverage marketing automation and sales engagement to generate more leads and manage opportunities
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
  • Supervise team in accordance to company policy and procedures
  • Manage performance and salary reviews and lead employee development plans
  • Lead recruitment, orientations, performance management and coaching
  • Develop training programs for team
  • Act as escalation point for all Inside Sales enquiries
  • Schedule and lead department meetings and workshops
  • Report to Senior Management on sales metrics, opportunities and threats
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in CRM, provide data quality checks regularly.
  • Form highly engaging relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication across the organisation
  • Maintain exceptional customer service, and consistently strive to exceed customer expectations.

Job Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience reporting to a senior management team
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude at all times
  • Strong work ethic leading a sales team
  • Ability to work in self-directed, fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude
  • High proficient CRM and computer skills, including email, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a business-2-business environment
