Job Description

The main responsibility of the Credit Manager South East ASIA will be to supervise the Accounts Receivable Function in the Finance Department for the region. The role is to deliver effective accounts receivable services to the business with the highest standards of service to external and internal stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain the department organisational structure to meet all goals and objectives.
  • Operate within the credit policy
    • Recommend changes to policy to senior management
    • Maintain customer credit files
    • Apply risk reviews and set credit lines on new customers.
    • Conduct periodic and business need credit risk reviews on existing customers.
  • Motivate the Credit and Collections Staff - SE ASIA
    • Collections lead for the SE ASIA business.
    • Escalation point for SE ASIA collections team.
    • Customer negotiation on collection issues.
    • Provide ongoing training of the credit and collection staff
  • Motivate and Engage with the Transaction AR team (remote).
    • Ensure all processing is within SLA's
    • Follow up to ensure the team is motivated and delivering a high level of service to the business.
    • Escalation point for the Transactional AR team if the Credit and Collections team is not responding within the SLA.
  • Reporting
    • Monthly / weekly reporting on SE ASIA Credit and Collections achievement and efficiency.
    • Management of SE ASIA AR hygiene
    • Credit availability reports SE ASIA
  • Customer risk reviews on a periodic or needs basis SE ASIA
    • New customer creation and risk analysis SE ASIA (within approved thresholds)
    • Periodic credit review management
  • Manage relations with credit insurance agencies
  • Manage relations with credit reporting agencies
  • Manage relations with the sales teams
  • Manage relations with Westcon Banking Partners
  • Bank finance facility reconciliation
  • Audit AR Lead for SE ASIA both leading and supporting regional teams.
  • Ad Hoc duties

Skills and knowledge:

* SAP experience required
* Must have strong organisational and time management skills
* Multi lingual an advantage (Mandarin / Bahasa)
* Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Word
* Strong Financial analysis skills - Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss
* Team player with the ability to also work independently with little supervision
* Strong problem solving skills - proven experience in understanding and solving problems
* Professional phone manner is essential


* Equivalent to 5+ years Credit and Collection experience - SE ASIA exposure
* Equivalent to 5+ years Credit Risk Analysis - SE ASIA region
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* People management - Local and International Teams
