Job Description

Westcon-Comstor are recruiting a Network Engineer / Presales Consultant who will provide Cisco product based technical presales support to our Internal Sales Team in Comstor and to authorised business partners.


You'll work closely with our Comstor colleagues based in Cirencester and other External Account Managers to answer technical questions, resellers and their end users may have on Cisco products.

In addition, you'll:

  • Validate Cisco SKU
  • Validate and build Cisco Bill of Materials (BoM)
  • Attend customer calls to validate requirements and provide technical advice
  • Respond to queries raised in Comstor ticketing system
  • Respond to queries by phone that arrive on the Technical Helpline

You'll support sales staff at our Comstor office in Cirencester in the achievement of set revenue and GP budgets in line with company objectives.

This role is office based in Cirencester.



Desired Skills and Experience

About you

We look for people who share our passion for Cisco technology. For this role, we're looking for a Network Engineer with good knowledge of Cisco products and preferably who is CCNA / CCNP qualified. If you aren't just yet, we will provide training and support.

Preferred qualifications and skills include:

  • Networking knowledge
  • Data center knowledge
  • Security knowledge
  • Customer focused
  • Willing to learn
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience of Cisco Commercial Workspace would be a bonus
  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP (Routing & Switching or Security) a plus but training will be given.
