Due to growth in our sales team we present an opportunity for a Business Development Manager with a passion for technology and success!

The Business Development Manager is responsible for strategically aligning with the vendor, building demand through a defined group of resellers and channel partners, coordinating and managing new business involving the development of a strategic business plan that meets the common needs of both Westcon-Comstor and the vendor.

What our BDM's are responsible for:

  • To have a dedicated focus around 'Net New Sales'
  • To develop and increase sales of technology to partners (as per "the customers" program) and unaffiliated partners
  • Have a focus around net new lines of vendor technology and actively promote them
  • To own and maintain and grow a strong business relationship between Westcon-Comstor , "the customers" and our joint reseller customers
  • Develop the 'Net New' pipeline and manage forecast reporting out of CRM.
  • To be primarily an outbound resource that maintains a high call cycle across our reseller and end user channel developing and maintaining high quality relationships with key business influencers. Being responsible for end to end sales cycle from inception to closure of opportunity.
  • To be focused on Technical Evangelist (Generalist)
  • To understand a set of new Emerging Technologies
  • To understand and/or create the market for these Emerging Technologies
  • In conjunction with the Vendor Business Manager develop a Strategic Business plan, in consultation with key stakeholders from Westcon Group and the vendor

What we are looking for in the ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrated sales success in business development in IT/Technology
  • Self-motivated to acheive outcomes
  • 5yrs+ dedicated sales experience
  • Passion for providing customer with outstanding customer service
