This role is for a Cisco UC/UCCE engineer providing remote and onsite Professional and Support services to Westcon's customers, primarily within the UK, however there may be some opportunities to work with our European Customers.

Westcon-Comstor are recruiting a new Unified Communications Systems Engineer to be based in the UK. This role is for a Cisco UC/UCCE engineer providing remote and onsite Professional and Support services to Westcon's customers, primarily within the UK, however there may be some opportunities to work with our European Customers.

As well as project work, the engineer would be expected to handle support cases and will be required to take part in the on-call rota. You must be willing to undergo Police vetting and SC clearance.

As a member of the Services Solutions Practice the Technical Engineer will fulfil a supporting role within the business unit. Specifically, the Technical Engineer will drive best in class practices to assist the department to ensure services delivery excellence.

Ideally, you have the desire to undertake the demands of achieving your CCIE certification.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Providing customer support working with the Support Centre to troubleshoot faults and carry out change requests
* Delivery of Project Services across Vendor's for the following activities
o Survey
o Audit
o Design
o Build
o Configuration
o Testing
* Pre Sales Support for the Sales team, including attending meetings with clients to determine requirements
* Documenting Statement of Works for Pre Sales activities.
* Documenting Designs, Implementation and Test Plans as part of the Project Delivery Service.
* Maintaining customer documentation
* Clarifying a client's system specifications, understanding their work practices and the nature of their business
* Analysing system requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of systems
* Developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Requirements:

* Demonstrable experience of installation, configuration and support of:
o Cisco Unified Contact Centre Enterprise (UCCE)
o Cisco Customer Voice Portal (CVP)
o Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
o Cisco Unified Contact Centre Express (UCCX)
o Cisco Unity Connection
o Cisco Voice Gateways / CUBE
o Cisco IP Phones

* Experience with SIP / H.323 / ISDN protocols

* Understanding of Cisco LAN/WAN technologies:
o Cisco Routers
o Catalyst Switches
o Quality Of Service

* Understanding of DHCP/DNS /Certificates

* Cisco UCS Servers
o CIMC
o VMWare ESXi V5.X and above
o BIOS/Firmware updates

* Experience delivering Cisco UC/UCCE projects and support, both remote and on-site, either individually or as part of a team.
* Able to work without supervision
* Good customer skills
* Must be willing to take part in the On-call rota
* Cisco Qualifications:
o CCNP (Collaboration)

* Sonus / Ribbon SBC's 1K/2K/5K, Tenor gateways
