Job Description

Westcon-Comstor is looking for an experienced and dynamic Communications and Social Media Manager to join our International marketing team. With the ability to think both creatively and strategically, the communications manager will have a passion for storytelling and developing inspiring and innovative communications and content with a strong focus on social media and advocacy.

This role is based in the South of England at our Bracknell or Crawley offices with some flexibility. Some UK and European travel should be expected.

ABOUT THE ROLE


Develop, manage and execute an integrated communications and social media strategy and content plan to support our corporate goals

* Develop and execute plan to drive increased engagement through social media channels
* Develop and maintain corporate messaging to be consistent and engaging
* Develop and manage content plan; working closely with design team, develop highly impactful and visual digital content
* Manage and develop online content for corporate news site and support content needs for international websites as part of an integrated plan
* Work collaboratively with key marketing stakeholders across regions
* Proactively engage cross-functional stakeholders to understand business and IT trends, issues and major priorities for Westcon-Comstor's customers and vendors
* Collaborate with subject matter experts and executives to identify opportunities and develop thought leadership and insight content
* Advise and support social media strategy and content for vendor marketing campaigns
* Define KPIs and manage social media reporting for international communications activity
* Monitor and report on relevant industry and competitive social media activity and themes too shape our own plan
* Coach colleagues to develop social media skills
* Directly manage a Social Media Executive
* Manage central PR and social media agencies
* Manage and implement social media policies and governance



ABOUT YOU

* Good level of corporate communications, PR, marketing and/or content creation experience with strong emphasis on social media
* Excellent knowledge and experience in managing B2B social media channels, social listening projects, social media management tools and social media best practices
* Experience building and executing strategic communications plans
* Experience in content creation and content marketing
* Excellent writing, storytelling and editing skills
* Ability to create large scale and compelling value propositions and campaigns
* Team management skills and experience, including agency management
* Strong skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* A passion for digital marketing and marketing trends
* A keen interest and understanding of B2B technology
* Channel experience preferred
* An analytical mind and natural problem solver with ability to use data to optimise marketing strategies and tactics
* Customer centric, focused on understanding customer needs and improving customer experience
* Strong teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills, and building/maintaining collaborative relationships
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
* Experience working at an EMEA level in a geographically dispersed team
