Job Description

Based in Melbourne we have a new exciting opportunity as a BDM who will be responsible for driving the Cisco business within Comstor. You'll focus on hunting and closing new opportunities by developing key relationships with both our Vendor and partner community. Experience in Cisco Technologies isn't a must but would be advantageous. In this role you will bring your passion, commercial acumen and business development experience with the aim of hitting financial targets. The key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Achieve defined revenue, GP targets
  • Work closely with key personnel to develop strong relationships within the customer base and Vendor
  • Support the Marketing team in delivering appropriate marketing campaigns to the local customer base
  • Provide exceptional customer service and strive to exceed customer expectations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Vendor Services in order to effectively support customers
  • Ensure customers are kept up to date with relevant developments from Vendor and Comstor
The key skills required for this role include:
  • Equivalent to 3 years in an external sales position
  • Sales experience within the IT channel model would be highly preferable
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectively
  • Knowledge of Cisco offerings would be desirable
  • Knowledge of data communications and networking; ability to position different product and technologies correctly
  • The ability and thorough understanding to apply pricing, gross profit, discounts and margin calculations
