Job Description

We are looking for a results-driven person who can handle both the sales and business development roles for our cloud business. This role is require to build rapport and maintain a good working relationship with the vendors and partners. He/she need to determine how much of the business will grow and where that growth will come from, and defines the approach to capture that growth. He/she must have good understanding of the market to generate exciting marketing activities to increase the sales activities and achieve sales target.

The key responsibility of the Business Development Manager is to execute a business plan and achieve a profitable revenue and gross profit within a year time. He/she need to develop the cloud business with 1-2 strategic sectors independently. The role is also require to recruit and cover the solutions partners to bring in incremental sales.

1. Product positioning
* Understand the product features in detail.
* How are they deployed in a traditional environment
* What are the concerns moving into cloud solutions
* Assemble sales material and tools with the vendor
* Create product proposition to counter objections
* Conduct training and be an evangelist to the assigned product

2. Product pricing strategy
* Understand the price table for the product
* Aware of the competitors pricing and work out the right pricing strategy

3. Channels recruitment
* Telesales activities to promote the product
* Visit the key partners and do a product presentation
* Create events/tradeshow with the vendors
* Engage in our channel - EDGE framework to develop the partners

4. Promotion and Sales management
* Maintain a healthy pipeline for the product
* Work out an effective promotion to secure the sales promptly

* Good communication skills - both verbal and written.
* Strong administration and numeracy skills.
* General computer literacy such as Outlook, Excel, Word
* Problem solving skills to resolve customer concerns.
* Must have basic knowledge about server and virtualisation.
* Good understanding of the network and security is an added advantage
* Candidate with AWS Solution Architect certification will be added value.
* Fast learner on grasping new technology
* Adaptable and willing to embrace new ways of doing things/achieving outcomes
* Understanding of and ability to apply pricing, Gross Profit, discounts, margin calculations
