We present an opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join our team.
The Account Manager is responsible for developing and increasing sales of all Westcon-Comstor vendors to a defined list of resellers. They must also maintain and grow a strong business relationship between Westcon-Comstor and its customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve company-defined revenue and Gross Margin Profit targets
  • Monthly & quarterly pipeline forecasting
  • Ensure sales pipeline is accurate and remains full of qualified opportunities and leads
  • Ensure accurate and complete information is captured in CRM
  • Make regular face-to-face and telephone contact with partners key contacts spanning from individual contributors to CXO and director levels
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the clientele business, resulting in knowledgeable contribution pro-active sales support & increased business
  • Analyse and monitor the performance of the customer base to identify areas of opportunity and to pre-empt customer issues
  • Develop and execute territory plans
  • Articulate the Westcon Group value messaging in a professional and consistent manner
  • Ensure customers are kept up to date with relevant developments from all vendors and Westcon Group
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Westcon Group product line to be able to effectively support customers
  • Support the marketing team in delivering appropriate marketing campaigns to the local customer base
  • Attend all relevant vendors' product briefings and updates

Job Requirements

  • Equivalent 3 years of experience in the IT industry.
  • Demonstrable experience in a sales capacity in a channel environment, preferably selling to the reseller market
  • Previous demonstrable successful experience in a customer facing role, with responsibility for achieving sales (revenue and margin) targets
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectively at any level
  • Experience with sales administration and hygiene i.e. pipeline management and forecasting meetings
  • Understanding of and ability to apply pricing, Gross Profit, discounts, margin calculations
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation/persuasion skills
  • Strong Organisational skills
